Its needles are soft, do not prick, and practically do not fall off, even when the tree starts to dry out: set it up as early as the end of November, and it will last for 6 to 8 weeks. Its scent is subtle, and its well-spaced branches can easily accommodate bulky decorations.

Its resinous scent fills the house as soon as it is set up. Its fine, tiered branches are perfect for hanging ornaments and garlands, and its price remains the most affordable of the three. A point to note: it loses its needles more quickly and stays fresh for about 3 weeks.

Our Christmas trees grow in the Belgian Ardennes, a region renowned for the quality of its conifers. They are selected one by one for their density and shape, then cut as late as possible in the season. No stock cut two months in advance: this is why a tree lasts until Epiphany instead of starting to shed its needles by Saint Nicholas Day.
This short supply chain has another effect: a tree that travels one hundred kilometers instead of a thousand means that much less of a carbon footprint. More than 32,500 trees have already been planted thanks to our customers.

Needles on the floor are the only real drawback to a natural Christmas tree.
There are two ways to solve this, depending on whether you want to keep a real tree or not.
You slide it under the tree stand when setting it up: its golden color dresses up the tree during the holidays. In January, you pull it up around the branches and the needles stay inside, not in the hallway or the elevator. Made from cornstarch, it is biodegradable and compostable with green waste. Created over 25 years ago by Handicap International, it donates €1.50 per bag to the organization. It is packaged in ESAT centers by people with disabilities.
If you prefer never to vacuum again in January, an artificial tree solves the problem for good. It is easy to assemble, disassemble, fold up, and store: no needles to clean up, no special maintenance, and the same look year after year. Our various models range from Ø76-120 cm to Ø137-210 cm, in classic green, snow-dusted, or pre-lit LED versions. The initial investment is slightly higher than a cut tree, but it pays for itself over the seasons.
A Belgian Christmas tree is a natural tree grown and cut in Belgium, as opposed to imported trees that make up a large part of the market. At Sapin Belge, our Nordmann firs and spruces come from Belgian plantations, primarily located in the Ardennes. The benefit is twofold: a very short transport distance, resulting in a reduced carbon footprint, and a tree that was cut recently, meaning it is fresher upon delivery.
Yes. Sapin Belge accepts Edenred, Sodexo, and Monizze ecocheques for the purchase of a natural Christmas tree. Ecocheques are an extra-legal benefit granted by many Belgian employers for the purchase of ecological products and services, and a locally grown natural tree falls into this category. Payment is made directly online at the time of order.
At Sapin Belge, a natural spruce tree starts at €52 and a Nordmann fir at €67. Prices then vary according to size, from 100-125 cm up to 250-300 cm for the Nordmann. Delivery throughout Belgium is charged at €10.
A Nordmann fir lasts 6 to 8 weeks indoors, a spruce about 3 weeks, and a potted fir 4 to 6 weeks. The difference mainly comes down to maintenance: cut one centimeter off the base of the trunk before placing it in a water stand, keep the base submerged, and keep the tree away from radiators. It is dry heat, far more than time, that causes the needles to fall.
A Nordmann fir can be set up from the beginning of December, as it keeps its needles for several weeks. For a spruce or a potted tree, Sapin Belge recommends waiting until mid-December: the spruce dries out faster and risks losing its needles before Christmas Eve. Therefore, choose your delivery date based on the day you intend to decorate it.
For a harmonious tree, use a mix of Christmas baubles, fairy lights, and decorative ribbons. Vary sizes and textures for a balanced visual effect and add a tree topper (star, angel, or other) to crown it all.

The tree has arrived; it’s straight and smells lovely.
Now for the best part: making it look like a store window display without spending the whole weekend on it.
String lights should be put on first, before the ornaments, starting from the trunk and moving toward the ends of the branches.
Our advice: count on about 15 meters of lights for a 1.80-meter tree. Anything less, and the tree always looks half-lit.
Hang the largest ornaments near the trunk and reserve the smaller ones for the tips of the branches: the effect of depth is immediate.
Vary the finishes—matte, glossy, glittery, transparent—rather than the colors. Two or three shades are enough to tie everything together.
Traditional in red, green and gold. Natural with wood, pine cones and linen ribbons.
Frosted in white and silver. Scandinavian, minimalist and bright. A successful tree is almost always one that has chosen its theme: the slender branches of the spruce work wonders in a natural style, while the density of the Nordmann fir carries ornate decorations better.
The star, the angel, or the decorative bow completes the composition: match it to the rest rather than leaving it to chance.
Also think about the base of the tree, which is often left bare: a nativity scene, a Christmas village, or a nice piece of fabric is enough to complete the picture.
For a potted tree, transfer it into a decorative pot with a bit of potting soil: it will be straighter and more elegant.
